Posevault
The Posevault BESS in the Voltmasters EMS: a containerised storage system over Modbus TCP, with the capacity setting and the behaviour when the connection drops.
Our EMS monitors and controls the Posevault BESS, a containerised storage system that combines the battery and the PCS in one unit, with a single Modbus TCP interface.

Posevault is supported from EMS controller version 0.0.331.
How the integration works
When the system loses contact with the controller for more than 30 seconds, it stops following the EMS setpoints and falls back to its own local strategy. The power drops to zero, and control resumes by itself as soon as the connection is back.
Setup
- Add the system with brand Posevault and model BESS, over Modbus TCP with the default unit ID
2. - The battery is created automatically as a child device. Set its capacity to the installed value: the system reports its rated power in the capacity register instead of the size of the pack, so the EMS relies on the configured value.
