We map the installation
Which battery, inverter, meter and chargers are on site, and which protocol they speak. If a device is not on our list, we tell you straight away.
The controller joins the setup
The Voltmaster Controller handles control locally, on DIN-rail. The optimisation runs on site, so it keeps working when the internet drops.
We change over
Device by device, in consultation with you. The installation keeps running in the meantime, so you never shut down anything that generates revenue.
Grid compliance and handover
If the grid operator asks for a connection or a signal test, we prepare it and sit at the table with you.

Frequently asked questions about switching
Do I have to replace hardware to switch?
As a rule, no. The EMS is brand-independent and currently controls 59 brands and 221 models across batteries, inverters, chargers and energy meters. What gets added is the Voltmaster Controller, which handles control locally on DIN-rail. If one of your devices is not on the list, we say so up front instead of afterwards.
Does the installation have to be shut down during the changeover?
No, we change over device by device in consultation with you. The installation keeps running in the meantime, so no revenue is lost and your customer barely notices.
Can I bring my historical measurement data with me?
That depends on the system you are coming from. Some platforms allow a clean export, others give you nothing at all. Show us what you have and we will tell you honestly what is feasible before you promise anything to your customer.
What happens to grid compliance on existing projects?
We take it along in the changeover. If the grid operator asks for a remote control connection or a signal test, we prepare it and sit at the table with you. Requirements differ per country and per grid operator, so we work that out project by project.
Does it work if I only want to try one project?
Yes. Most installers start with a single site to see how the control behaves, and only expand after that. You do not have to move your whole portfolio at once.

Do I stay the installer for my customer?
Yes. Voltmasters does not sell directly to end customers; we work through certified installation partners. The customer relationship and the maintenance stay with you.
