Engie

Supported steering: batteries, PV, imbalance market

Engie is an energy supplier. Within the EMS, Engie operates the connected assets through the Companion flexibility platform (the same platform used by BEE). The controller communicates with the Companion REST API over HTTPS.

Supported steering: batteries, PV, imbalance market.

Connection method

  • Protocol: HTTPS REST API
  • Endpoint: https://api.companion.energy/v2

What we need to connect

To enable the Engie (Companion) integration, the following must be provided and configured in the project's energy trading settings:

Credential Description
API key Authenticates the controller to the Companion API
Customer ID Identifies the customer / site within Companion
PV asset ID Optional, one per PV inverter the EMS does not steer

A PV inverter the EMS steers registers itself with Companion through the controller, so it needs no asset ID. An inverter that is not set to controllable cannot do that, so Companion assigns it an ID and you enter that ID in the project's external control settings.

See PV asset IDs for how the mapping is entered, and Changing a connected configuration for correcting a credential or an asset ID later on.
