The platform connects directly with energy suppliers and trading partners, enabling dynamic control of batteries, solar, charging infrastructure and steerable consumers based on real-time market signals.
Arbitrage on dynamic prices
The EMS checks day-ahead market prices and automatically schedules the battery per quarter-hour: charging in cheap slots (PV surplus or cheap grid), discharging in expensive slots. The battery shifts energy from the cheap, sunny afternoon to the expensive evening peak, and your customer avoids expensive grid purchases.

Imbalance market via trading partners
Automated participation in flexibility markets: the trading partner sends dispatch signals that give the battery precise charge and discharge commands. Partner signals take priority over the standard algorithms but always stay within the project limits and safety margins of the grid contract.

One day on the day-ahead market. The EMS charges the battery in the cheap midday dip and discharges it again during the expensive evening peak.
Built for the imbalance and balancing markets
The EMS takes a decision every second for every device, taking each device's response speed into account. With a reaction time of 1 to 3 seconds you capture real-time price spreads and reserve activations, while slower systems are still computing. Market rules and reserve products differ per country, the link with your trading partner stays the same.

Frequently asked questions about energy trading
What is the difference between day-ahead arbitrage and the imbalance market?
Day-ahead arbitrage works with prices that are known a day in advance: the EMS plans per quarter hour when the battery charges and discharges. The imbalance market works in real time, your trading partner sends dispatch signals and the battery responds within 1 to 3 seconds. Both can run on the same battery.
Do I need a trading partner to get started?
Not for arbitrage on day-ahead prices: the EMS optimises against the market prices and your customer's energy contract. You do need one to take part in the imbalance and balancing markets, because access to those markets runs through an aggregator or supplier. The partners we connect with today are listed on this page.
How often is the battery plan recalculated?
Every quarter hour. The EMS combines the day-ahead prices, the PV forecast and the expected consumption into a new plan. If prices or the installation change, the updated plan applies immediately.
What if cycling the battery is not profitable?
Then the battery does not cycle. A configurable threshold applies, typically 20 euro per MWh, which covers the round-trip losses. The price difference between charging and discharging has to exceed that threshold before the EMS uses the battery.
Are grid limits respected during market participation?
Yes. Dispatch signals from your trading partner take precedence over the standard algorithms, but always stay within the project limits and the safety margins of the grid contract. Load balancing and telecontrol remain overriding, including during an activation.
