Energy meter dashboard
The Energy meters dashboard in the Voltmasters EMS: import, export and peak power per meter, plus an indicative energy cost.
Under Energy meters, you see per meter what is imported and exported. Each meter has its own panel, with the main meter at the top and the additional meters below it.
- Date and period: a daily, weekly or monthly view.
- Consumption report: the totals over a longer period.
- A panel per meter, with the name of the meter as its title.
- The chart of the meter: Import, Export and Power.
- The figures of the meter over the period: From grid, To grid and Consumption peak.
Next to the metrics, each panel shows an indicative energy cost: what that meter's import cost, what its export earned, and the net of the two. These amounts are an indication based on the energy contract entered for the project, not a settlement. See Energy cost on the energy meter dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find how much energy I have drawn from or injected into the grid?
Open the Energy Meter dashboard and look at the grid meter panel. The graph for the grid meter shows both directions: energy drawn from the grid (import) and energy fed back to the grid (export/injection), along with peak power figures. Select daily, weekly or monthly views using the dropdown at the top.
Where can I find data for wind energy production?
Wind energy is measured via the inverter or meter connected to your wind turbine. Open the energy meter dashboard or the device panel for the meter or inverter that your installer has linked to the wind turbine. There is no dedicated "wind turbine" menu item. The correct panel depends on how your installation has been configured.
Why does the energy cost differ from my supplier's invoice?
The amounts on this dashboard are an indication, not a settlement. They value your metered energy at the contract you entered in the platform, and they only cover the volumetric part of a bill. Capacity tariff, fixed standing charges and imbalance are not part of them. Energy cost on the energy meter dashboard explains exactly what is and is not included.
