Solis S6 hybrid storage under smart control

The Solis S6 series combines PV and battery in a single hybrid inverter, from 30 to 50 kW. Voltmasters EMS turns it into an earning asset: market-driven charging and discharging, peak shaving and self-consumption optimisation.

Supported devices

  • S6-EH3P30K-H
  • S6-EH3P40K-H
  • S6-EH3P49K-H
  • S6-EH3P50K-H

The S6-EH3P series from 30 to 50 kW. You enter the battery capacity during setup, it is not read from the inverter. Set the inverter to self-use with grid charging allowed, otherwise it will not accept the setpoints from the EMS.

What the EMS gets out of your Solis installation

  • Trade on the imbalance market and dynamic prices, quarter hour by quarter hour
  • Peak shaving: keep peak power and capacity tariff under control
  • Maximise self-consumption together with PV and EV chargers
  • Fluvius telecontrol and grid compliance, certification included
  • Real-time monitoring with automatic incident detection

Why installers combine Solis and Voltmasters

Solis delivers a compact hybrid inverter, Voltmasters adds the intelligence. The EMS reaches the inverter through the Solis datalogger and drives the battery with the volatile remote control registers, so the stored settings on the device stay intact. The Voltmaster Controller runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.

How your Solis connects to the EMS

Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet

The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.

Connect over the local network

You connect the device following the step-by-step guide in our documentation. We assist with commissioning on your first project.

Questions about the Solis integration

Which Solis inverters does Voltmasters support for storage?

The hybrid S6 series: S6-EH3P30K-H, S6-EH3P40K-H, S6-EH3P49K-H and S6-EH3P50K-H. The inverter talks to the battery over CAN and exposes both on one register map.

How does the EMS connect to the Solis inverter?

Over Modbus TCP through a Solis datalogger, for example the S2-WL-ST, which bridges to the RS485 port of the inverter.

Does the system keep working when the internet drops?

Yes. The Voltmaster Controller runs the optimisation locally in the cabinet. If the connection drops, control, peak shaving and the safety limits simply stay active.

How do I connect a Solis S6 hybrid inverter to the EMS?

The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
