Battery storage (BESS) integration
JinkoSolar SunGiga G1, steered cabinet by cabinet
The JinkoSolar SunGiga G1 is an all-in-one battery cabinet of 100 kW and 215 kWh. Several cabinets sit behind one system control unit (SCU). Voltmasters EMS steers every cabinet on its own, with its own active and reactive power setpoint.

Supported devices
- SunGiga G1 215kWh
The SunGiga G1 215kWh (JKS-215KLAA-100PLAA), over Modbus TCP on port 2404 of the SCU. Available from controller version 0.0.337.
What the EMS gets out of your JinkoSolar installation
- Trade on the imbalance market and dynamic prices, quarter hour by quarter hour
- Peak shaving: keep peak power and capacity tariff under control
- Maximise self-consumption together with PV and EV chargers
- Fluvius telecontrol and grid compliance, certification included
- Real-time monitoring with automatic incident detection
Why installers combine JinkoSolar and Voltmasters
Because every cabinet is a battery inverter of its own with its own battery, the EMS balances the cabinets on their own state of charge. From the first cabinet, device discovery proposes every other cabinet of the system, so you add the whole system in one go. Every battery alarm and converter fault becomes an incident of its own.
The technical bit, in short
- Connection over Modbus TCP on port 2404 of the SCU
- The slave ID is the number of the cabinet
- Controller and SCU on the same local network
How it works
How your JinkoSolar connects to the EMS
Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet
The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.
Connect over the local network
You connect the device following the step-by-step guide in our documentation. We assist with commissioning on your first project.
Configure and go live
The installation appears in the platform: dashboards, control and monitoring are active right away.

Questions about the JinkoSolar integration
Do I have to add every SunGiga cabinet separately?
No. You add the first cabinet, and device discovery proposes every other cabinet of the system as its own battery inverter with its own battery.
What does the EMS do with the SunGiga G1?
It steers every cabinet with its own setpoint for imbalance trading, peak shaving and self-consumption, and raises every battery alarm and converter fault as an incident.
Does the system keep working when the internet drops?
Yes. The Voltmaster Controller runs the optimisation locally in the cabinet. If the connection drops, control, peak shaving and the safety limits simply stay active.
How do I connect a JinkoSolar SunGiga G1 to the EMS?
The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
