Battery storage (BESS) integration
GoodWe SEC3000C under smart control
The GoodWe SEC3000C is not an inverter but an all-in-one EMS gateway: battery, PV and a built-in grid meter sit behind a single Modbus TCP connection. Voltmasters EMS connects on top and turns it into an earning asset, with market-driven charging and discharging, peak shaving and self-consumption optimisation.
Supported devices
- SEC3000C
Only the C variant (SEC3000C) is supported; it controls GoodWe's on-grid and hybrid inverters. The plain SEC3000 is monitoring-only. Suited to the ESA125K and ESA261 storage scenario.
What the EMS gets out of your GoodWe installation
- Trade on the imbalance market and dynamic prices, quarter hour by quarter hour
- Peak shaving: keep peak power and capacity tariff under control
- Maximise self-consumption together with PV and EV chargers
- Fluvius telecontrol and grid compliance, certification included
- Real-time monitoring with automatic incident detection
Why installers combine GoodWe and Voltmasters
The SEC3000C brings the whole site together behind one connection: the EMS sees the battery, the PV production and the grid meter as logical devices and controls them together. Voltmasters adds the market intelligence and aligns the storage with the prices, the PV and the consumption. The Voltmaster Controller runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.
The technical bit, in short
- Connection over Modbus TCP, port 502
- Battery and PV control work without the built-in GM330 grid meter
- The GM330 meter is required for grid import/export measurement and limiting
How it works
How your GoodWe connects to the EMS
Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet
The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.

Questions about the GoodWe integration
Which GoodWe system does Voltmasters support?
The GoodWe SEC3000C Smart Energy Controller, for the ESA125K and ESA261 storage scenario. Only the C variant is supported; the plain SEC3000 is monitoring-only.
Do I need the GM330 grid meter?
Not for battery and PV control. The built-in GM330 meter is required for grid import/export measurement and for limiting import or export on the grid connection.
Does the system keep working when the internet drops?
Yes. The Voltmaster Controller runs the optimisation locally in the cabinet. If the connection drops, control, peak shaving and the safety limits simply stay active.
How do I connect a GoodWe SEC3000C to the EMS?
The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
