At Voltmasters the Voltmaster Controller is the heart of every installation: the device that steers batteries, inverters and meters in real time. As an Embedded Systems Engineer you build the firmware that does this reliably and safely, at the edge of the grid.
You work at the intersection of software and hardware, making sure our smart control keeps running even offline and under harsh conditions.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain the firmware of the Voltmaster Controller.
- Integrate with hardware such as inverters, batteries and meters via Modbus, MQTT and CAN.
- Ensure reliable, safe operation at the edge, even during grid disturbances.
- Optimise performance and memory usage on embedded hardware.
- Work closely with backend and hardware to build a seamless whole.
What we expect
- You have experience with embedded development in TypeScript.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux and communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT, CAN).
- An affinity for electronics and hardware.
- You write robust, tested code that has to run reliably for years.
- An interest in energy or industrial systems is a bonus.
