EV chargers integration
Autel MaxiCharger AC Single, smartly controlled
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Single is an AC charger from 7.4 to 22 kW. Voltmasters EMS steers its charging power over Modbus TCP, does load balancing within the grid connection and plans charging at the cheapest moments.
Autel
Supported devices
- MaxiCharger AC Single (A22)
The MaxiCharger AC Single (A22), with one AC connector. Available from controller version 0.0.339.
What the EMS gets out of your Autel installation
- Load balancing within the limit of the grid connection
- Charge at the cheapest moments, including negative prices
- Priorities per charge point, the fleet comes first
- Interplay with battery and PV for extra charging power
- Monitoring of every charging session
Why installers combine Autel and Voltmasters
The EMS keeps the charger in power mode and writes a power limit, so charging moves along with the battery, the PV and the consumption of the site. A pause sets the limit to 0 W. Should the charger fall back to a fixed power when the connection drops, you set a fallback power.
How it works
How your Autel connects to the EMS
Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet
The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.
Connect over the local network
You connect the device following the step-by-step guide in our documentation. We assist with commissioning on your first project.
Configure and go live
The installation appears in the platform: dashboards, control and monitoring are active right away.

Questions about the Autel integration
Which Autel charger does Voltmasters support?
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Single (A22), across the whole A22 series from 7.4 to 22 kW, over Modbus TCP.
What happens when the connection with the EMS drops?
You choose. With a fallback power set, the charger charges at that power after 60 seconds without the EMS. Without a fallback power, the charger keeps its own offline settings.
Does this work together with hardware from another brand?
Yes, the EMS is brand-independent. A battery, PV inverter, EV chargers and meters from different manufacturers are controlled together as one optimised system.
How do I connect a Autel MaxiCharger to the EMS?
The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
