Yuso monetises the flexibility of batteries and solar installations on the wholesale and imbalance markets. The Voltmasters EMS executes Yuso's steering signals locally and safely, quarter hour by quarter hour and second by second.
Who is Yuso?
Yuso, based in Waregem, is a Belgian energy supplier, aggregator and route-to-market partner for renewable energy and battery storage. The company combines the required licences as supplier, balance responsible party (BRP), balancing service provider (BSP) and scheduling agent, giving producers and battery owners direct access to the day-ahead and imbalance markets at transparent prices.
Our partnership
Yuso and Voltmasters have been working closely together on Belgian battery projects for years. Yuso defines the market strategy and sends dispatch signals, while the Voltmasters EMS translates them into precise charge and discharge commands for the battery and curtailment for the inverters. The controller always guards the grid connection, the safety limits and the site's grid contract, even if the connection to the trading partner drops for a moment.

The connection is activated in the project's energy trading settings. For your first project we guide the configuration from start to finish.

From then on the installation follows Yuso's steering signals. In the platform you track the imbalance prices, the activations and the revenue per device, live.

What can Yuso steer through the Voltmasters EMS?
Batteries and PV inverters. Yuso trades the flexibility on the imbalance market: the battery charges and discharges on dispatch signals and the inverters curtail during negative prices.
What do I need to connect a project to Yuso?
A contract with Yuso and the credentials they provide: thing name, client ID, client certificate, private key and the root CA certificate. Enter them in the project's energy trading settings and the connection goes live.
Does the installation stay safe while Yuso is steering?
Yes. Partner signals take priority over the standard algorithms, but the controller always enforces the project limits: the maximum power of the grid connection, the limits of the grid contract and the safety margins of every device.
