Who is Gridual?
Gridual is a Belgian KU Leuven spin-off built on a simple premise: bring the market to your battery. Where classic aggregators optimise at the level of their entire portfolio, Gridual calculates per site. The software continuously weighs trading revenue against the costs you avoid on site by consuming the energy yourself. Gridual shows exactly what the battery earned and saved, down to every tariff and charge, and takes a share only on the actual improvement.
Our partnership
Gridual sends setpoints to the Voltmasters EMS. The controller on site translates them into charge and discharge commands for the battery and curtailment for the PV inverters, while continuously guarding the grid connection, the grid contract and the project's safety limits. The integration runs in production and has its own energy trading dashboard in the Voltmasters platform, where you follow activations and revenue per device.

What do I need to connect a project to Gridual?
A contract with Gridual and the credentials they provide: the host and port of their MQTT broker, a client certificate, the matching private key and the root CA certificate. Enter them in the project's energy trading settings.
