The Fluvius meter as the basis of every control action

At every Belgian installation, the Fluvius meter is the starting point. Voltmasters EMS reads the industrial meter via the A1 port and the digital meter via the P1 port, and uses that data as the basis for peak shaving, injection limiting and grid compliance.

Supported devices

  • IndustriĆ«le meter (A1-poort)
  • Digitale meter (P1-poort)

Industrial meter via the A1 port (medium voltage, with measurement transformers) and the digital meter via the P1 port. Note: some older meters or certain brands do not transmit voltage data.

What the EMS gets out of your Fluvius installation

  • Real-time measurement on the grid connection as the basis for every control action
  • Submetering per installation section or consumer
  • Accurate data for peak shaving and injection limiting
  • Reporting and cost analysis in the platform
  • Mix all brands in a single metering setup

Why the Fluvius meter is central

The measurement on the grid connection determines what the EMS steers on. The industrial A1 meter provides voltage, current and power per phase for medium-voltage sites; the digital P1 meter does the same for smaller connections. The EMS bases peak shaving, injection limiting and Fluvius telecontrol on that data.

The technical bit, in short

  • Industrial meter: connection via the A1 port to the controller
  • Digital meter: read-out via the P1 port
  • Set the transformer ratios (TI/CT and TP/PT) correctly as scaling factors

How your Fluvius connects to the EMS

Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet

The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.

Connect over the local network

You connect the device following the step-by-step guide in our documentation. We assist with commissioning on your first project.

Configure and go live

The installation appears in the platform: dashboards, control and monitoring are active right away.

Questions about the Fluvius integration

Which Fluvius meters does Voltmasters support?

The industrial meter via the A1 port (medium voltage) and the digital meter via the P1 port.

Why does the EMS need the Fluvius meter?

The measurement on the grid connection is the basis for every control action: peak shaving, injection limiting and grid compliance all start from that data.

What should I watch for with the A1 meter?

At medium voltage the A1 meter measures via measurement transformers. The transformer ratios (TI/CT and TP/PT) must be set correctly as scaling factors, otherwise the values are wrong.

How do I connect a Fluvius meter to the EMS?

The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
