PV inverters integration
SolaX X3 inverters under control
SolaX builds three-phase inverters for residential to industrial installations. Voltmasters EMS connects to the X3 series and manages injection: curtailing during negative prices, injection limiting where the grid operator requires it and real-time monitoring of production.
Supported devices
- X3-MIC G2
- X3-PRO G2
- X3-MEGA G2
- X3-FORTH
The three-phase X3 series: X3-MIC G2, X3-PRO G2, X3-MEGA G2 and X3-FORTH. For SolaX battery storage (the EMS1000) see the SolaX integration under battery storage.
What the EMS gets out of your SolaX installation
- Automatic curtailment during negative prices
- Injection limiting, up to zero injection on the grid connection
- Align production with battery, EV chargers and site consumption
- Yield monitoring with alerts on deviations
- Ready for the connection requirements of the grid operator
Why installers combine SolaX and Voltmasters
A PV installation without control also injects when electricity earns nothing or the grid connection gets overloaded. The EMS automatically limits the SolaX inverter and aligns production with battery, EV chargers and the site's consumption. The inverter becomes an active part of the energy strategy.
The technical bit, in short
- Connection over Modbus TCP
- Connect RS485 inverters through an RS485-to-Modbus-TCP adapter (such as the EP E300)
- Controller and inverter on the same local network
How it works
How your SolaX connects to the EMS
Voltmaster Controller in the cabinet
The industrial DIN-rail controller sits next to the installation and runs the optimisation locally, even without internet.
Connect over the local network
You connect the device following the step-by-step guide in our documentation. We assist with commissioning on your first project.
Configure and go live
The installation appears in the platform: dashboards, control and monitoring are active right away.
FAQ
Questions about the SolaX integration
Which SolaX inverters does Voltmasters support?
The three-phase X3 series: X3-MIC G2, X3-PRO G2, X3-MEGA G2 and X3-FORTH. For SolaX battery storage (the EMS1000) Voltmasters has a separate integration under battery storage.
Can the EMS curtail SolaX production during negative prices?
Yes. Where the inverter supports it, the EMS limits the active production when injecting costs money. A fixed injection limit is also possible.
Does this work together with hardware from another brand?
Yes, the EMS is brand-independent. A battery, PV inverter, EV chargers and meters from different manufacturers are controlled together as one optimised system.
How do I connect a SolaX inverter to the EMS?
The Voltmaster Controller connects to the device over the local network. The step-by-step instructions are in our documentation, and as a certified partner we guide your first commissioning from start to finish.
