# Energy meters (advanced)

> The advanced Energy meters dashboard plots active power, current per phase and voltage per phase for a single energy meter of the project.

The **Energy meters** dashboard shows the measurements of one energy meter at a time.

Use the **Meter** selector at the top to choose the meter. The charts then plot, over the selected period:

- **Active power (kW)** of the meter.
- **Current per phase (A)**, one line for each of L1, L2 and L3.
- **Voltage per phase (V)**, one line for each of L1, L2 and L3.

> **Note**
>
> This dashboard is only available when the project has one or more energy meters. You find it under **Analysis → Advanced → Energy meters**. It needs advanced logging to be switched on for the project's EMS controller; otherwise the platform shows a notice and the charts stay empty.

### Navigating the dashboard

The Energy meters dashboard uses the same controls as the other Pro dashboards:

- Use the **period selector** at the top to choose a specific day, week, or custom range.
- **Click and drag** across a section of a chart to zoom in on that time range; use the reset control to return to the full view.

### Frequently asked questions

**Why does a meter only show active power?**

Not every meter reports current and voltage per phase. Virtual, aggregated and residual meters are calculated from other meters and only have an active power. For those meters the current and voltage charts stay empty. Phases a meter does not measure are left out.

**Where is reactive power?**

Reactive power is not shown yet, because it is not logged at the moment.
