Our EMS supports integration with PV inverters from SolaX.

SolaX develops three-phase solar inverters for residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The integration enables centralized monitoring and active power control of SolaX production through our EMS platform.

> For SolaX **battery storage** (the EMS1000 energy management unit), see [SolaX in Battery Systems](https://voltmasters.io/en/docs/device-integrations/battery-systems/solax/).

### Supported devices

We support the following SolaX inverter series:

- **X3-MIC G2**: three-phase string inverter (3K–15K), now supporting a 4th PV string.
- **X3-PRO G2**: three-phase string inverter (8K–30K), including the **X3-PRO-15K-G2**.
- **X3-MEGA G2**: three-phase inverter for larger installations (40K–60K).
- **X3-FORTH**: three-phase inverter for large installations (75K–125K).

### EMS functionality

With the current integration, our EMS enables:

- Monitoring of PV production data
- Active power curtailment where supported
- Integration of PV production into broader energy management strategies

### Add a SolaX inverter to the EMS

Add the inverter through the device wizard and select the matching **model**.

**Modbus TCP**
If the inverter is reachable over the network via Modbus TCP, add it directly using its IP address and port.

**RS485**
If the inverter communicates via RS485, use an **RS485-to-Modbus-TCP converter** (such as the [EP E300](https://voltmasters.io/en/docs/getting-started/adding-and-verifying-devices/rs485-to-modbus-tcp-adapters/ep-e300/)) so the EMS can reach it over the network.
