# Placement and cabling

> Where to place the Volt AIO, and how to power it and connect it to the network.

The Volt AIO goes next to the Fluvius telecontrol cabinet, so the analog and contact cables stay short. The controller may sit elsewhere: only the network cable runs to it.

## Placement

-   Mount the module on a DIN rail in a cabinet next to the telecontrol cabinet.
-   Power it from the cabinet’s 24 VDC supply.
-   Connect it to the installation network, the same network the controller uses. Give it a fixed IP address and note the IP address, the port and the Modbus slave ID.
