# Sunwoda

> Supported devices: Sunwoda OSP200K and NoahX-L261 battery systems over Modbus TCP, each as a battery inverter with its battery.

Our EMS monitors and controls Sunwoda battery systems over **Modbus TCP**. The system is added as a battery inverter (PCS), and its battery appears as a linked battery device.

## Supported devices

| Model | Power and capacity | Battery devices | From controller version |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| OSP200K | 200 kW | One battery per battery cluster the system reports | 0.0.337 |
| NoahX-L261 | 125 kW / 261 kWh, all-in-one cabinet | The battery stack of the cabinet | 0.0.339 |

## OSP200K

- **Control**: the EMS puts the Sunwoda site EMS in remote mode and writes one active power setpoint for the whole system. A reactive power setpoint is sent when it changes.
- **Measurements**: the inverter values are the totals over all inverters of the system, so any number of inverters works. Every battery cluster is found from its readings and becomes a battery device of its own.
- **Incidents**: the system, inverter and battery cluster alarms each raise their own incident. Level I and II cluster alarms are warnings, level III is critical. A cabinet emergency stop sends emergency notifications, like every other emergency stop.

## NoahX-L261

- **Control**: the EMS steers the active power of the cabinet.
- **Remote control**: the cabinet only accepts commands when its control source is set to remote. Set to local, it rejects every write and the EMS raises the incident **Inverter does not accept remote control**.
- **Incidents**: a lost link between the cabinet controller and its inverter raises **PCS communication lost**, an inverter in fault raises **Power conversion system (PCS) fault**.

> **Warning**
>
> With the current cabinet firmware, the NoahX-L261 has three limits:
>
> - **No reactive power**: the cabinet does not pass a reactive power setpoint on to its inverter, so the EMS does not steer reactive power on it.
> - **No fallback on a lost connection**: when the connection with the EMS drops, the cabinet keeps its last setpoint.
> - **Slow start from stop**: after about 2 minutes at 0 kW the inverter goes from standby to stop. The next setpoint then takes about a minute before power flows.

## Setup

1. **Network**

Connect the Sunwoda system to the same network as the Voltmasters Controller and give it a fixed IP address. On a NoahX-L261, set the control source of the cabinet to remote.
2. **Add the system in the platform**

Add a device of type **Battery system (PCS)**, with brand **Sunwoda** and model **OSP200K** or **NoahX-L261**. Fill in the IP address and port, and check the prefilled **Slave ID** `1`. The rated power is prefilled with 200 kW for the OSP200K and 125 kW for the NoahX-L261.

The battery of the system is proposed as a linked battery device: one per battery cluster on the OSP200K, the battery stack on the NoahX-L261. Keep it selected and save.
3. **Verify**

Check on the device page that the state of charge and the power come in, and that the system follows a setpoint.
